Two-time Pavo Cup winner and winner of his stallion performance test

Our stallions Fürst Zonik PS, Total PS, and Lamborghini U.S. also descend from this line

At first, it was Extreme U.S.' foals, with their outstanding type and movement, who easily dominated the show and auction rings. Now, the two-time Pavo Cup winner is sending a record number of sons from his first crop of stallions to the KWPN licensing in ‘s-Hertogenbosch/NED.

In 2025, Extreme U.S. completed the perfect double. After securing victory in the 2023 Pavo Cup for four-year-olds with his rider Renate van Uytert-van Vliet/NED, a competition in which he received the perfect score of 10 from the test rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen/DEN, he was also unbeatable in the 2025 class for six-year-olds at this championship for the best KWPN horses, which is comparable to the German Championships for young horses. He was also victorious at the prestigious KWPN stallion competition and clearly dominated the two competitions in Kronenberg/NED (89.2 points) and Ermelo/NED (89). In 2024, he finished fifth in the final ranking of the Pavo Cup for five-year-olds. Extreme U.S. won his stallion performance test in 2022 with an overall score of 89 points (9.0 for trot, walk, elasticity, balance, rideability and talent, 8.5 for canter).

His sire Escamillo, silver and bronze medallist at the World Championships for young dressage horses, Burg Cup finalist, and victorious in Inter II competitions, has already produced over 40 licensed stallions, three of which stand at our stud: in addition to Escanto PS, German Young Horse Champion, double stallion performance test record winner and Oldenburg main premium winner, he also produced Expectation PS, who has celebrated numerous victories in competitions for young dressage horses. And then there is Element of Crime, the Neustadt licensing winner and Dressage Young Horse Champion, Glock’s Energy/Ruben Mengual Reig/ESP, Hanoverian Premium Stallion, €700,000 Stallion Market top price and placed sixth in the four-year-old competition at the World Championships for young dressage horses, Escaneno/Lisa Lindner, Westphalian licensing Reserve Champion, placed eighth at the World Championships for young dressage horses and fifth at the German Championships for young horses, DSP Birkhof’s Elocin, Vice German Young Horse Champion and triple DSP Champion, Birkhof’s Esperanto, DSP Champion and Vice Champion, and the two Westphalian licensing Reserve Champions Excalibur and Espléndido MT. Amongst his sport offspring, the double German Young Horse and Westphalian Champion Eivissa, ridden by Jessica Lynn Thomas/SWE stands out. She received a 10 for both trot and canter and a 9.5 for rideability and conformation in Warendorf. Embolo, the most expensive horse ever sold at a Westphalian riding horse auction with a sensational knockdown price of €590,000, won a series of competitions for young dressage horses with Benjamin Werndl. At the Austrian Warmblood Championships in Stadl-Paura/AUT, Eyecatcher W, El Camino, and Evita claimed the winner’s sashes in the three-, four-, and five-year-old classes. The winner of the Herwart van der Decken Show in Verden was Escamillo’s daughter Exclusive.

His dam Viva Contana PS is the half sister of the Grand Prix stallion Swagman (by Sandro Hit)/Kristy Oatley/AUS. Her half sister Contanita (by Sandro Hit) produced the licensed stallion Tostolany (by Totilas)/Maria Viktorovna Ugryumova Mikhailova/MEX, who was successful in Grand Prix. Viva Contana's half sister Sondra produced five stallions: Glock’s Total U.S. (by Totilas)/Edward Gal/NED, Zaid (by Zonik)/Alina Röhricht and Dante U.S. (by Dante Weltino)/Diederik van Silfhout/NED have been successful in international Grand Prix competitions. Mister U.S. (by Grey Flanell), who is successful in the Small Tour, and the Pavo Cup finalist Lamborghini U.S. (by Lord Europe) are also licensed. Sondra’s breeding record also includes the Grand Prix dressage horse Gossip Girl (by Grey Flanell)/Evelyn Eger, Great Gatsby PS (by Grey Flanell)/Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, who was successful in Inter II, and De Sondro PS (by De Niro)/Annina Borgström/SWE, who was placed in the Lövsta Future Challenge in Sweden. Sondra’s daughter Zantana RS2 OLD N.O.P. (by Zonik), the top price of our P.S.I. Auction, won international Grand Prix competitions with her rider Marieke van der Putten, came fifth with the Dutch team at the European Championships in Crozet/FRA, and is currently placed 13th in the FEI world rankings. She produced three licensed stallions: our stallion Fürst Zonik PS (by Fürstenball), who is successful in advanced (S) level dressage competitions with Isabel Freese/NOR, Debutant PS (by Deparon), two-time finalist at the German Championships for young dressage horses, and a licensed stallion by Don Schufro. Zantana RS2 OLD N.O.P. also produced the mare Secret Zone PS (by Secret), who is the dam of the premium stallion and stallion performance test winner Grey Tonic PS (by Grey Flanell), sold through our Schockemöhle Online Stallion Auction, and our premium young star Epic Zone PS (by Escanto PS). Viva Contana's half sister Sondra produced the mare Dandra PS (by Dante Weltino OLD), who is the dam of our young star Total PS (by Totilas). Other daughters have produced the licensed stallion Jaguar U.S. (by Jovian) and a premium stallion by Vitalis.

His dam's sire Vivaldi was placed in international competitions up to St. Georges with Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED and secured the VHO ranking in 2013 at the KWPN licensing. Previously, he was Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test in the Netherlands, won the Pavo Cup and won the KNHS/KWPN stallion competitions twice (10 for trot). He has held his top position amongst the world's best dressage sires according to the WBFSH ranking for years. He owes this to over 70 licensed sons, many of whom also shine in Grand Prix dressage, such as Desperado/Emmelie Scholtens/NED, team silver medallist at the European Championships, Glock’s Dream Boy/Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, fifth by team at the Olympics, World Championships and European Championships, as well as Cennin/Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED, Blue Hors Veneziano/Laura Kristine Thorup/DEN, and the newly crowned Louisdor Prize winner Viva Gold OLD/Isabell Werth. This group naturally also includes our influential Burg Cup winner and elite stallion Vitalis/Isabel Freese/NOR.

His grand-dam Contana is the half sister of the licensed show jumping stallion Carinue (by Carthago), the 1.60m show jumping horse Camilla (by Chacco-Blue)/Julia Hargreaves/AUS and other show jumping horses. Her half sister Cascaya (by Cento) produced the 1.40m show jumping horse Come as you are (by Champion F.P.). Her half sister Katina (by Kannan) is the dam of the 1.55m show jumping horse Carnan (by Cartogran)/Patrick Stühlmeyer/GER and the 1.50m show jumping horse Diacontaro POS/Denise Wilson-Gallagher/USA.

In the third generation is Don Schufro, Danish Champion and team bronze medallist at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong/HKG in 2008 with Andreas Helgstrand/DEN, as well as sire of numerous successful horses.
