Licensing winner, bronze medallist at the Oldenburg State Championships, serial victories in competitions for young dressage horses
Foal producer
Line of Gesine
Viva Romance PS’ foals have that certain “je ne sais quoi” and are absolute eye-catchers for the big dressage stage. From the first two generations, he produced show winners and high-priced auction foals.
Viva Romance PS adds another chapter to the magnificent success story of the maternal Gesina line. Following his licensing in Mecklenburg, which he left as the resounding winner, he completed his short test in Vechta with a top score of 8.93: 9.4 for trot, 8.7 for canter, 8.0 for walk, 9.2 for rideability, 9.5 for willingness to perform. He also made a victorious debut in sport and secured bronze with Tanja Fischer at the Oldenburg State Championships for three-year-old stallions. During his sport test in 2024 in Verden, he received the highest rideability score of all participants: 9.3. He finished as Vice Champion with a final score of 8.51. He converted his first starts in elementary (L) level competitions for young dressage horses into superior victories.
His sire Vivino was premium stallion at the Hanoverian licensing and sensational top price of the Stallion Market with a knockdown price of €2.01 million in Verden. He then completed his stallion performance test in Denmark with an overall score of 8.8. He has already produced 16 licensed stallions who were, in many cases, named premium., including Van Vermeer, the bronze medallist at the Oldenburg State Championships. At the P.S.I. Auction, Vivino’s daughter Vivendy was the 1.26-million-euro dressage top price.
His dam Gesina produced ten licensed stallions, including For Romance I OLD, Oldenburg licensing winner, main premium winner, Burg Cup finalist, VTV dressage stallion and successful in Grand Prix, For Romance II (both by Fürst Romancier), premium stallion and placed in international competitions, the licensing winner Feinrich (by Fürst Heinrich) and Golden Romance Malleret PS (by Governor)/Helen Langehanenberg/GER, who came fifth in the Burg Cup. Gesina’s daughters also produced stallions, first and foremost Fasine OLD (by Fürst Romancier), Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Young Horse Champion, P.S.I. price record holder and successful at S level. In breeding, Fasine produced the licensed stallion Fasino (by Foundation), Valarina PS (by Vivaldi), who is successful in international Junior competitions and who previously produced the licensed stallion Fascination (by Fynch Hatton), and the mare A la Fasine (by Apache), who produced the licensed full brother stallions HP Valentino (advanced (S) level dressage) and HP Vincello (both by Vitalis). Gesina’s daughter, Fürstin Gesine (by Fürst Heinrich), was also Oldenburg Champion Mare and produced the licensed stallions Visino PS (by Vitalis) and Montrachtet PS (by Morricone I). Gesina’s daughter Furtherance (by Fürst Romancier) produced the two licensed stallions Go For Romance PS (by Governor) and Viva Vitalis (by Vitalis), winner of his licensing and reigning German Young Horse Champion. Gesina’s daughter Mount St. John Best of All (by Bordeaux), British Dressage Champion and placed up to the Small Tour level, is the dam of Best of Mount St. John OLD (by Fürst Romancier), Vice State Champion, placed fifth at the German Championships for young horses, and the licensed stallion MSJ Q (by Quantensprung). Her half sister Fasinette (by Fürst Romancier) produced the licensed stallion Jovianson (by Jovian). Gesina’s daughter Fine Gesina (by Foundation) is the dam of our stallion Lord Romance PS (by Lord Europe) and the premium stallion Volare (by Va Bene). Finally, Gesina’s daughter Vesina PS (by Vivaldi) produced our stallion performance test Reserve Champion Sebastino PS (by Secret) and of Dreihundert PS (by Dante’s Junior), who has been placed in intermediate (M) level competitions for young dressage horses.
Through the dam sires Sir Donnerhall I and Don Schufro, there is interesting line breeding to the sire of the century Donnerhall and the no less significant half-blood Sandro.
His grand-dam Gesine also produced the Reserve Champion Vivaldi’s Schufro (by Vivaldi) and Amadeus de l’Aubois (by Der Designer), who stood as a sire in France. Her daughter Sadira de Malleret (by Sir Donnerhall I) produced Helen Langehanenberg’s mare Zaeta de Malleret (by Zonik) who is victorious in international Small Tour.
Numerous licensed stallions, including the influential Voltaire (by Furioso II)/Jos Lansink/BEL, descend from the Hanoverian line of Mosaik.
