Bronze Medallist at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses Sire of Top Price Foals
Grand-dam is full sister of Glock's Zonik N.O.P/Edward Gal/NED
Simply a feast for the eyes! Straight Horse Leonardo trotted to bronze in the arena of the World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses. The judges had nothing but praise for his performance, which was pure harmony. Impressive trot, always in rhythm and demonstrating fantastic freedom of the shoulders (8.8). With very good diligence in walk (7.8). Great cadence and very well balanced in the canter, especially in counter canter (9.1). The superb silhouette, constant contact with the rider's hand (9.0), and outstanding potential (9.0). With a total score of 87.400 percent, the Danish premium stallion and stallion performance test reserve champion, who was awarded the silver medal and the Aage Ravns Trophy in 2024, secured his place on the podium amongst the best of his age group.
With his immaculate conformation and his ground-covering paces, Straight Horse Leonardo also stamps his foals, many of which are show winners and auction top prices.
At the beginning of this career, his sire Lord Europe was himself two-time premium stallion, €800,000 stallion market price sensation and, as the youngest stallion in the competition of the best young horses in Germany, took second place in the final of the Nuremberg Burg Cup. He won the “Siegerpreis” with 9.5. Ridden by Leonie Richter, he secured his ticket for the final with the highest score of all qualifiers - 77.951 percent. Lord Europe then effortlessly mastered the leap into Grand Prix and secured his ticket to the Louisdor Prize Final in Frankfurt with a series of victories in Grand Prix competitions for young horses. He won the final of the Derby Stars of Tomorrow series in early 2026 with a score of 76.698 percent. Amongst his ten licensed sons, the Westphalian Reserve Champion and German Young Dressage Horse Champion Lodovico, the German Young Riding Horse Championship bronze medallist Louis Löwenherz von Bellin, the Pavo Cup finalist Lamborghini U.S., and our auction top price Lord Romance PS stand out. His sport highlights include the reigning Pavo Cup winner Lord Ritme and the German Young Horse Championship bronze medallist and Brandenburg Champion Lord Löwenherz von Bellin. Lord Europe’s daughter First Vaiana was the winner of the Oldenburg Elite Mare Show.
His dam Straight Horse De Milla was a gold medal mare in Denmark, came sixth at the championships for young riding horses there in 2019, and was successful in Small Tour.
His dam's sire De Niro, successful at Grand Prix level at the age of eight and winner of the Dressage Derby in Hamburg with riding master Dolf-Dietram Keller, led the WBFSH ranking list of the best dressage sires worldwide for six years in a row. There are no championships in which his offspring, including Desperados FRH/Kristina Bröring-Sprehe/GER, Dablino/Anabel Balkenhol/GER, D’Agostino FRH/Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier/GER, Delgado/Beatriz Ferrer-Salat/ESP, Voice/Edward Gal/NED, Deep Impact/Severo Jurado Lopez/ESP and Darco of De Niro ZS CH/Charlotte Lenherr/SUI, do not fight for medals. Over 260 advanced (S) level horses are registered in Germany alone and have won over 3.4 million euros in prize money for their father. With over 100 licensed sons, the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year has a lasting influence on breeding.
His grand-dam Straight Horse Zackonik is successful in the Grand Prix Tour for the USA with Christopher Hickey. She is also the full sister of Glock's Zonik N.O.P/Edward Gal/NED. He led the Dutch team to the silver medal at the European Championships in Rotterdam/NED and finished sixth (Freestyle) and eighth (Special) in the individual classes. At the World Cup final in Gothenburg/SWE, Glock's Zonik N.O.P and Edward Gal also came eighth, after taking seventh place in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special in 2018 at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon/USA. Straight Horse Zackonik's half brother Blue Hors Santiano (by Sezuan) was also licensed. He was placed at the World Championships for young dressage horses in 2022 in Ermelo/NED with Renate Van Uytert/NED and has since been successful at advanced (S) level. His half brother Straight Horse Cosmo (by Grand Galaxy Win) is successful in Grand Prix in the USA with Charlotte Jorst/USA. His half sister Straight Horse Rozina (by Jazz) produced the licensed stallion Straight Horse Sir Romance (by For Romance I).
His great-grand-dam is the elite bronze medallist mare Romanik.
The Grand Prix dressage horse Alfa (by A-Dur I)/Nuri Vila Perez/ESP also descends from the Hanoverian line of Neanaza.
