Short Test Reserve Champion and sire of top-class foals
Brilliant combination of Sezuan bloodlines with the Gesine line
Sebastino PS immediately attracted attention with his first crops of foals: San Sebastián
was the €21,000 top price in Rhineland, Sir Bastiano was second top price at the DSP Big Chance Foal Auction and a colt won the silver medal at the Southern German Championships. This incredibly handsome Reserve Champion of his short test (overall score of 8.82), who qualified for the German Championships for young horses, also demonstrates his world-class genetics when it comes to his own performance. In Sebastino PS’ pedigree, the paternal lines of Secret, Sezuan and Zack meet one of the most successful mare lines of all, the line of our El.St. Gesina. She produced ten licensed stallions.
His sire Secret is the son of the triple World Champion and international winner up to Inter I, Sezuan, who is currently placed 16th in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires as the youngest stallion. Secret won his 14-day test, the silver medal at the 2017 German Championships for young riding horses and also silver at the 2019 World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses. In 2020, he won the German Championships for six-year-old dressage horses with his rider Jessica Lynn Thomas/SWE. He has produced over 70 licensed stallions, including Segantini FRH, who was placed twice in the top ten at the World Championships for six- and seven-year-old dressage horses with Dorothee Schneider and qualified for the Burg Cup Final after previously winning the German Young Riding Horse Championships. The silver and bronze medals went to Secret's sons Alkaline/Merita Hagren/DEN and Severucci HT/Jeanna Hogberg/SWE at the World Championships for young dressage horses. Soxx secured gold in 2025 at the German and Westphalian Championships for three-year-old stallions. And there is the Vice German Young Horse Champion Sézane, the Vice German Young Horse Champion and Hanoverian Champion Sedamo K, as well as Snickers F, Vice German Young Riding Horse Champion, DSP Champion and Baden-Württemberg State Champion.
His dam Vesina PS also produced Dreihundert PS (by Dante’s Junior), who has been placed in intermediate (M) level competitions for young dressage horses. She herself is the sister of ten licensed stallions, including For Romance I OLD, Oldenburg licensing winner, main premium winner, Burg Cup finalist, VTV Dressage Stallion and successful in Grand Prix, For Romance II (both by Fürst Romancier), premium stallion and placed in international competitions, as well as the two other licensing winners Feinrich (by Fürst Heinrich) and Viva Romance PS (by Vivino), and Golden Romance Malleret PS (by Governor)/Manuel Dominguez Bernal/ESP, who came fifth in the Burg Cup and is victorious in Inter II. Her half sister Fasine OLD (by Fürst Romancier) was Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Young Horse Champion, P.S.I. record top price and successful up to Inter II level competitions. In breeding, Fasine produced the licensed stallion Fasino (by Foundation), Valarina PS (by Vivaldi), who is successful in international Junior competitions and who previously produced the licensed stallion Fascination (by Fynch Hatton), and the mare A la Fasine (by Apache), who produced the licensed full brother stallions HP Valentino (advanced (S) level dressage) and HP Vincello (both by Vitalis). Vesina’s half sister, Fürstin Gesine (by Fürst Heinrich), was also Oldenburg Champion Mare and produced the licensed stallions Visino PS (by Vitalis) and Montrachtet PS (by Morricone I). Her half sister Furtherance (by Fürst Romancier) produced the two licensed stallions Go For Romance PS (by Governor) and Viva Vitalis (by Vitalis), winner of his licensing and reigning German Young Horse and Oldenburg State Champion. Vesina PS is also the half sister of Mount St. John Best of All (by Bordeaux), British Dressage Champion and placed up to Small Tour level, who is also the dam of Best of Mount St. John OLD (by Fürst Romancier), Vice State Champion and placed fifth at the German Championships for young horses, and the licensed stallion MSJ Q (by Quantensprung). Her half sister Fasinette (by Fürst Romancier) produced the licensed stallion Jovianson (by Jovian). Finally, Gesina’s daughter Fine Gesina (by Foundation) is the dam of our stallion Lord Romance PS (by Lord Europe) and the premium stallion Volare (by Va Bene).
His dam's sire Vivaldi was placed in international competitions up to St. Georges with Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED and secured the VHO ranking in 2013 at the KWPN licensing. Previously, he was Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test in the Netherlands, won the Pavo Cup and won the KNHS/KWPN stallion competitions twice (10 for trot). He has held his top position amongst the world's best dressage sires according to the WBFSH ranking for years. He owes this to over 70 licensed sons, many of whom also shine in Grand Prix dressage, such as Desperado/Emmelie Scholtens/NED, team silver medallist at the European Championships, Glock’s Dream Boy/Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, fifth by team at the Olympics, World Championships and European Championships, as well as Cennin/Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED, Blue Hors Veneziano/Laura Kristine Thorup/DEN, and the newly crowned Louisdor Prize winner Viva Gold OLD/Isabell Werth. This group naturally also includes our influential Burg Cup winner and elite stallion Vitalis/Isabel Freese/NOR.
His grand-dam Gesine also produced the Reserve Champion Vivaldi’s Schufro (by Vivaldi) and Amadeus de l’Aubois (by Der Designer), who stood as a sire in France. Her daughter Sadira de Malleret (by Sir Donnerhall I) produced Helen Langehanenberg’s mare Zaeta de Malleret (by Zonik) who is victorious in international Small Tour.
Numerous licensed stallions, including the influential Voltaire (by Furioso II)/Jos Lansink/BEL, descend from the Hanoverian line of Mosaik.
