El Nino PS made a tremendous impression during his 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf in 2025. "A stallion who impresses with his practical, generous canter, working superbly under his centre of gravity, and who has also demonstrated great self-carriage, high quality, great ability, and good control," was the unanimous verdict of the jury. In figures: 9.5 for willingness to perform, 9.0 for ability, canter, rideability and general impression, 8.5 for manner. This resulted in an overall score of 8.8 and second place.
His sire Emerald van 't Ruytershof combines sport and breeding expertise. Ridden by Harrie Smolders/NED, the son of Diamant de Semilly was one of the most successful show jumping stallions in the world. In 2016, he was part of the Dutch team that finished seventh at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro/BRA. His other achievements include second place in the World Cup Final in Gothenburg/SWE and victories in the World Cup show jumping competition in Washington/USA, in the Global Champions Tour in Chantilly/FRA and in the Grand Prix in Bordeaux/FRA, as well as in the Nations Cups in Aachen, Rotterdam/NED, Gijon/ESP, and Falsterbo/SWE. Emerald van 't Ruytershof is listed as an ambassador for Belgian breeding and is placed amongst the top ten in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best show jumping sires. He has produced over 100 licensed stallions, including Jaguar vd Berghoeve/Jasmine Chen/TPE, who took part in the World Equestrian Games, El Barone Z/Jens Fredericson/SWE, who was successful in World Cups, and the 1.60m show jumper Ilias/a.o. McLain Ward/USA. He has also produced 60 top offspring, led by Qalista DN, who, ridden by Gilles Thomas/BEL, won the Global Champions Tour step in New York and the Grand Prix of Maastricht/NED in 2025 alone, and took second place in Rome/ITA, Valkenswaard/NED, and London/GBR.
His dam Daloubette van de Krekebeke was successful in 1.55m show jumping competitions with Julie de Pelsmaeker/BEL. She has already produced two licensed and internationally successful stallions, Pocket Rocket H (by Kannan; 1.35m SJ) and Qupido H (by Cicero Z van Paemel; 1.45m SJ)/Gaëtan Joliat/SUI, as well as ten other internationally successful horses up to 1.60m, such as Jaloubet van de Oosthoeve (by Caspar; 1.60m SJ)/Fernando Rodriguez Esparza/MEX and Princess Dalou H (by Vigo d'Arsouilles; 1.50m SJ)/Mclain Ward/USA.
His dam’s sire Baloubet du Rouet won the World Cup Final in 1998 with Rodrigo Pessoa/BRA and repeated this victory in 1999 and 2000. The pair finished the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney/AUS with the team bronze medal. Four years later, they crowned their joint career as Olympic gold medallists in the individual competition in Athens/GRE. The Selle Français chestnut by Galoubet also made a career as a sire. His offspring, registered in Germany alone, have won over €5.2 million, to which his licensed son Chaman/Ludger Beerbaum/GER has contributed more than €1.83 million. His breeding record includes over 110 licensed stallions and more than 120 1.60m show jumping horses, such as the European Championship bronze medallist Dubai du Cedre/Julien Epaillard/FRA, VDL Bubalu/Jur Vrieling/NED, Sydney une Prince/Roger Yves Bost/FRA, Napoly Du Ry/Simon Delestre/FRA, AS Rahmannshof’s Bogeno/Alvaro Mirnada Neto/ESP and South Wind VDL/Cameron Hanely/IRL.
Heartbreaker and Darco's sire Lugano van la Roche, two more important figures in breeding appear in the third and fourth generations.
His grand-dam Ula van de Krekebeke produced a total of seven international show jumping horses. Her daughter Khadidja van de Krekebeke (by Calvaro Z) is the dam of the licensed stallion Caesar van Jonckhoeve (by Comilfo Plus Z) and the two show jumping horses Zoe Blue van de Krekebeke Z (by Zirocco Blue VDL; 1.50m SJ)/Joaquin Tinao Perez-Miravete/ESP and Dhalida (by Diamant de Semilly; 1.60m SJ)/Rodrigo Pessoa/BRA.
