His grand-dam is the sister of Conthargos and three 1.60m show jumping horses
Diathargos Blue PS cannot deny his genetic proximity to our main sire Conthargos: the way he uses his body perfectly before, during, and after the jump, and always approaches works with a lot of heart, courage and spirit, make him a legitimate successor.
His sire Diaron, ridden by Alexa Stais/CYP, won the Grand Prix of Warendorf and recorded victories and placings in courses up to 1.50m in Kronenberg/NED, Budapest, and Münster. Previously, Diaron took third place in the Grand Prix of Opglabbeek/BEL and was placed in the 1.45m show jumping competitions in Hagen a.T.W./GER, Riesenbeck/GER and Balve/GER with Patrick Stühlmeyer. Before that, he was successful in the Youngster Tours of Aachen/GER, Leipzig/GER, Hagen a.T.W./GER, Verden/GER, Neumünster/GER, Zandhoven/BEL and Opglabbeek/BEL. And he almost managed the German Young Horse Championship triple as well. Placed second in the qualifier, he accessed the final of the Warendorf Championships for seven-year-olds, but had to settle for eighth place due to the only fault of all his rounds there. Diaron has nevertheless secured the record of a stallion winning double gold, which has only ever been achieved twice in the 40-year history of the German Championships for young show jumping horses. After winning the five-year-old class in 2017, the modern show jumper also won the German Championship title in the six-year-olds in 2018. After a second place in 2017, Diaron also won the Oldenburg Show Jumping Championships in Rastede. He was also named VTV Show Jumping Stallion of the Year at the Oldenburg Stallion Days. His offspring have established Diaron as a producer of high-performance horses. Diarona PS/Ruben Arroyave/COL, Diakatisa PS/Kent Farrington/USA, SMA Disney/Sophie Hinners, SMA Diarona/Sergio Alvarez Moya/ESP, H5 Diachango Blue PS/Carlos Hank Guerreio/MEX, Diachango Blue PS/Eduardo Pereira de Menezes/BRA and Durango PS/Patricio Pasquel/MEX, who have already been successful in show jumping courses up to 1.55m, are the prototypes of his offspring. Most of these upcoming stars have already made a name for themselves in the young horse championships, such as the two finalists at the World Championships for young show jumping horses Diatasio/Marvin Jüngel and Diora PS/Alexander McLean/GBR, the Hanoverian Champion Diamore VEC/Sarah Hüttinger, the Polish Champion Diakato PS/Łukasz Koza/POL, and the reigning Deister Champion Diamiro PS/Karin Martinsen/SWE. Amongst Diaron's twelve licensed sons is our premium stallion, stallion performance test winner, and serial winner in competitions for young show jumping horses, Diablue PS, who is also internationally successful in competitions up to 1.40m. Diaron’s daughter Deja Vu went on to the final ring at the Hanoverian Herwart von der Decken Show. At the Schockemöhle PS Online Auction, Duran Duran PS was sold for the sensational price of €140,000. Dark Chocolate was the top price at the Riedlingen Foal Market, with a knockdown price of €19,000.
His dam Cristella Blue is the half sister of the two 1.35m show jumping horses Stasalla PS and Stakkaristo (both by Stakkatol).
His dam’s sire Chacco-Blue was third in the Grand Prix in Aachen, won the Grand Prix in Neumünster, was number one in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best show jumping sires for six years in a row from 2017, was second in 2023 and 2024 and now stands in third place. From a breeding perspective, the elite stallion produced Explosion W/Ben Maher/GBR, Olympic Champion, individual silver and team bronze medallist at the European Championships and Global Champions Tour winner, Chanyon/Daisuke Fukushima/JPN, placed sixth at the Olympics, Chaqui Z/Shane Sweetnam/IRL, European Team Champion, Chacon/Eoin McMahon/IRL, placed second in the Nations Cup final and EIC Up Too Jacco Blue/Max Kühner/AUT, placed seventh in the World Cup final. Chacco-Blue produced the most offspring in almost all championships. He has produced well over 100 licensed stallions, including the current show jumping champion of the Westphalian licensing in Münster-Handorf.
His grand-dam Cristalla is the sister of our main sire Conthargos (by Converter I) and of the three 1.60m show jumping horses Chacjandra (by Chacco-Blue)/Felipo Godinho Marcondes/BRA, Afrika (by Converter I)/Werner Muff/SUI, and Vivathago (by Vivant van de Heffinck)/Elian Baumann/SUI. Her sister Chatharga (by Chacco-Blue) produced the licensed stallion Balou du Cajan PS (by Balou du Reventon). Her sister Cajandra's Girl (by Contefino) is the dam of Bordeaux (by Centadel; 1.60m SJ)/Arturo Parada Vallejo/MEX, who is successful in 1.60m show jumping competitions. And Caya Blue (by Chacco-Blue) produced Coleur Blue (by Couleur Rouge), who competed for the Austrian team at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam/NED, with Matthias Raisch.
Ridden by Jos Lansink/BEL, his great-grand-sire Carthago was the most successful show jumping stallion in the world at the time, taking part in two Olympics, in Atlanta/USA in 1996 and in Sydney/AUS in 2000. His sport offspring, registered in Germany alone, including Cash/Marco Kutscher’s/GER, Mylord Carthago/Pénélope Leprévost/FRA and Classix Girl/Sören von Rönne/GER, have won over €4.4 million in prize money. Among the most influential of his over 50 licensed sons are Colman, Cardino, Carinue, Cartani, Carvallo BB and Crown Z. Diachango Blue appears twice. Different horses?
