Dafoe de Fontaine is the result of the brilliant crossing of our elite sire Dynamic Dream and the Olympic Champion Wendy de Fontaine. A higher performance guarantee is almost impossible.
The career of his sire Dynamic Dream began at the Westphalian licensing, where he was named Champion Stallion and went down in history as the absolute top price of the Stallion Market. He was then named premium stallion in Denmark and completed his 14-day test there with dream scores: 9.0s for trot and canter, 10.0s for willingness to perform, temperament and character. He set new standards with his foals, including Dynamic Heart, who was sold for €90,000 at the Schockemöhle Helgstrand Auction, and Der Hit and Dynamic in Black, who were sold in Oldenburg and Hanover for €80,000 and €74,500 respectively, as well as with his licensed sons. They are already over 40, including the Reserve Champions in Oldenburg, Westphalia, and Mecklenburg, other premium stallions, and Denver PS, the €190,000 top price at the Schockemöhle Online Auction. Dynamic Dream's daughter Weihe's Happiness became the German Young Horse and Oldenburg Champion and Reserve Champion Mare in Rastede. In the Netherlands, the bronze medal at the Pavo Cup went to Real Dream, ridden by the double World Champion Charlotte Fry/GBR. He has also produced numerous other medal winners in young horse championships.
His dam Wendy de Fontaine won the Olympic team gold medal and individual silver medal in Paris/FRA with Isabell Werth, as well as the team gold medal and double individual bronze medals at the 2025 European Championships in Crozet/FRA. In 2019, the Sezuan daughter secured the bronze medal at the World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses with Andreas Helgstrand/DEN. In 2021, she came sixth in the final for seven-year-old dressage horses. In 2023, she also won the Grand Prix freestyle in Aalborg/DEN and was placed in the World Cup freestyles in Herning/DEN and Stuttgart/GER. Wendy de Fontaine has already produced two other licensed stallions: Ferdinand de Fontaine (by Franklin), 2022 premium stallion in Mecklenburg and placed in the final of the World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses in Verden in 2025, as well as Sénégal de Fontaine (by Springbank II VH), who also stands at our stud.
His dam's sire Sezuan catapulted himself to 16th place in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires as the youngest stallion. He owes this to his highly successful offspring, including the aforementioned Wendy de Fontaine/Isabell Werth, as well as the Grand Prix winner Special Blend/Isabell Werth, and Louisdor Prize winner DSP Sheldon Cooper/Corinna Harnisch. His licensed sons include Sky, German Young Horse Champion and record top price of the Stallion Market, Secret, Vice World Champion of young dressage horses and German Young Horse Champion, Sezuan's Donnerhall, two-time record stallion performance test winner, and So Unique, two-time premium stallion, stallion performance test winner, German Young Horse Champion, winner of the four-year-olds competition at the World Championships for young dressage horses and since then successful in advanced (S) level competitions with Isabell Werth/GER. Sezuan himself has also made the headlines with his sport career: ridden by Dorothee Schneider, he became the first stallion ever to win the World Championship title for five-, six-, and seven-year-old dressage horses. He then won international competitions up to Inter I. Since then, he has been trained up to Grand Prix level with Patrik Kittel/SWE. He also won his Danish licensing, was record winner of his stallion performance test, Danish Young Dressage Horse Champion, Elite Stallion, and Stallion of the Year in Denmark.
Valerie B (by Revolution), Danish Champion Mare, Champion of young dressage horses and placed fourth twice at the World Championships for young dressage horses, Rambo (by Racot)/Heather Blitz/USA, winner of the Aage Ravn’s Challenge Trophy, elite stallion and successful in Grand Prix, the licensed stallions Vanguard (by Hunnenkönig) and Vasco (by Traum), the international Grand Prix dressage horse Lux Stensvang (by Lobster)/Sean Sierra Keasler/USA, Skovens Rosselli (by Romanov)/Matilda Piispa/FIN, who was successful up to St. Georges, and the two elite mares Viola Stensvang (by Solos Landtinus) and Vanessa Stensvang (by Lobster) also descend from the Trakehner mare family 0274 Venus vom Schimmelhof 652 bred in Denmark.
