Successful up to the European Championships

Peggy-Sue line: from which descend numerous top horses

"Willingness to perform, technique, caution, fighting spirit, and a pedigree in a class of its own” - what fascinated Paul Schockemöhle so much about his sire Chacco-Blue is also abundantly present in his son Charino PS. Charino PS’ success record with Zascha Nygaard/DEN includes not only competing in the European Championships in A Coruña/ESP and sixth place in the London World Cup, but also other top placings in the Global Champions Tour step in Mexico City/MEX, Doha/QAT, Paris/FRA, Prague/CZE, and Rome/ITA, in the Nations Cup in Sopot/POL, and in the Grand Prix in Hagen a.T.W. and Deauville/FRA.

Charino PS, from the famous Peggy-Sue line, from which also descend Chapilot/Rodrigo Lambre/BRA, successful in show jumping World Cups, and Capilot/Koki Saito/JPN, who took part in Nations Cups, began his career with Florian Meyer zu Hartum and then moved on to be ridden by Eiken Sato/JPN.

Since Charino PS' sport career initially took priority, he has not yet been used much for breeding, but he already has some very promising offspring in show jumping competitions.

His sire Chacco-Blue was third in the Grand Prix in Aachen, won the Grand Prix in Neumünster, was number one in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best show jumping sires for six years in a row from 2017, was second in 2023 and 2024 and now stands in third place. From a breeding perspective, the elite stallion produced Explosion W/Ben Maher/GBR, Olympic Champion, individual silver and team bronze medallist at the European Championships and Global Champions Tour winner, Chanyon/Daisuke Fukushima/JPN, placed sixth at the Olympics, Chaqui Z/Shane Sweetnam/IRL, European Team Champion, Chacon/Eoin McMahon/IRL, placed second in the Nations Cup final and EIC Up Too Jacco Blue/Max Kühner/AUT, placed seventh in the World Cup final. Chacco-Blue produced the most offspring in almost all championships. He has produced well over 100 licensed stallions, including the current show jumping champion of the Westphalian licensing in Münster-Handorf.

His dam Pagarina, herself a sister of the show jumping horses Balguero (by Balou du Rouet; 1.60m SJ), Luigi (1.55m SJ), and Lanimo (both by Larino; 1.50m SJ), produced Katsumi (by Stakkatol), who was internationally successful in 1.30m show jumping competitions, and Carinio (by Chacoon Blue), who has already won international competitions for young show jumping horses. Pagarina’s sister Paga Luna (by Balou du Rouet) produced the 1.55m and 1.50m show jumping horses Vanity Z (by Vantast Z) and Arabescato (by Chintan).

The dam sires Larino, Andiamo, and Centauer Z also proved themselves on the highest show jumping courses. Through them, the century-old lines of Voltaire, Almé, and Capitol I are ingeniously combined in Charino's pedigree.

His grand-dam Paguera, herself successful in 1.35m show jumping competitions, is the half sister of On the Point Sandy (by Sandro Boy) and Qui Vie (by Quintessence vd Laarse Heide), both successful in 1.55m and 1.50m show jumping respectively, who also produced successful offspring, and of the mare Quiggy Z (by Quintessence vd Laarse Heide), who produced Santa Rosa Coldplay (by Centadel; 1.70m SJ). Her half sister Vivantaura (by Vivant van de Heffinck) is the dam of Magic Vivantauer PS (by Messenger; 1.50m SJ).

The licensed sport stallions Bobby Brown (by Balou du Rouet; 1.60m SJ), Baltico (by Balou du Rouet; 1.50m SJ), Carlot and Cartoon (both by Carthago; 1.35m SJ), Centender (by Cento), Diquattro DSF (by Diarado; 1.20m SJ) and Glenara Rockefeller (by Elvis ter Putte) are also closely related. In sport, the World Championship show jumping horse Chatinue (by Chacco-Blue; 1.65m SJ), Chanel PS (by C-Ingmar; 1.60m SJ), Chapilot (by Chacco-Blue; 1.60m SJ), Cannavaro (by Berlin; 1.60m SJ), Capilot (by Berlin; 1.60m SJ), Chatilot (by Chacco-Blue; 1.50m SJ), Capitano (by Captain Paul I; 1.50m SJ), Clintina (by Clinton; 1.50m SJ), Curly Sue (by Coupe de Coeur; 1.50m SJ), Mila-Sue PS (by Pilot; 1.50m SJ) and Sir Thomas PS (by Stakkatol; 1.50m SJ) also stand out.
